Contemporary Black Console Tables

Contemporary console tables are usually pushed against the wall, if not totally nailed to it. These are usually the ones with only two legs in front. Tables that are free-standing usually have wider bases or have sturdy four legs that can carry the weight of the tall console without buckling, especially if it is made of heavy hardwood. The tall panel at the back is usually heavy, and this is also one of the reasons why contemporary, black console tables are positioned along the walls.

There are also other places where you can place contemporary, black console tables too. Since black can easily blend in with other colors especially if it is used as a backdrop, they can also be used to create a wall where you need to have a separate, more isolated space. The front of the console table can be positioned to face the main room where it will still be utilized as decorative and storage furniture; the back will serve as the partition.

Interior designers usually place large potted plants on the back of contemporary, wood console tables to add a splash of green. The resulting effect is often very Mediterranean. If the wood of the console table is attractive enough by itself though, it may no longer need additional plants or lamps for accessories.

The beauty here is that this “wall” formed by contemporary, black console tables would only be temporary; you can always redecorate and rearrange everything whenever you want. Or, if the use of the space is only temporary, you can easily revert back to having one spacious room since you didn’t have to erect a permanent wall.

Contemporary, black console tables look great inside rooms decorated with a black and white theme. They also fit in houses that are mostly furnished with hardwood pieces. If you want to add a splash of color you can place delicate figurines and other shelf accessories in bright, pastel colors on the shelves of the console.
